Currently listed at $1,406.49, this open box MSI Codex R2 represents a competitive option for gaming PCs. It's hard to gauge the exact savings without an MSRP, but similar builds generally start higher. The Codex R2 is equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 12GB GPU, an Intel Core i5-14400F processor, and 32GB of DDR5 RAM, making it suitable for multitasking and modern gaming demands. It also features a 1TB NVMe SSD, which should provide ample storage and fast load times.
In comparison to other gaming desktops in this price range, the MSI Codex R2 stands out with its combination of the latest graphics card and robust memory capacity. Additionally, it supports Wi-Fi 6E, enhancing internet connectivity for online gaming. While prebuilt desktops can sometimes skimp on cooling solutions, the included air cooling system alongside its VR readiness could appeal to gamers who want a quick, efficient setup.
