The Sennheiser HD 505 headphones are available now for $142.49, which seems to represent a significant drop from the typical retail price of around $200. Given their reputation, this deal could be time-sensitive depending on stock levels.
These open-back headphones are designed for audiophiles and casual listeners alike, delivering a natural, spacious soundstage. The HD 505 features a comfortable design suitable for extended listening sessions, coupled with decent sound isolation for open-back headphones. While not the flagship model Sennheiser offers, they do hold their own against other mid-range competitors like the Audio-Technica ATH-AD700x or similar models from the same brand.
Pros:
- Excellent sound quality with a spacious soundstage
- Comfortable for long listening periods
- Durable build quality from Sennheiser
Cons:
- Open-back design may not be suitable for all environments
- Lacks some modern features like wireless connectivity
